I have been designing for about eight years and have learned a lot since I began. I put a great deal of effort into my work and treat it as if my name is written all over it at completion. I am currently interning with Carnegie Mellon University.
I love to travel. During my sophomore year of high school, I broadened my horizons by traveling to Spain. To see a country sto beautiful was breathtaking. My senior year I traveled to Ghana, West Africa - a truly life changing experience! The people were beautiful, pleased with the simplest of gifts and were very proud of who they were. It was a very humbling experience. One that made me more grateful, made me want to work harder, and that’s what I did. I came to college a dry sponge ready to soak up the knowledge provided to me.
I am the younger of two children, but lost my older brother May of 2007. I miss him every day and I try to grow in his likeness and in away to make my parents proud. This event in my life has also inspired me to answer another calling. After graduation, I plan to return to school to get my PhD in Psychology. I would like to become a grief counselor to help others who have experienced situations similar to my own.
